Seminar on Entrepreneurship on 20th and 21st August, 2009
A two-day Seminar was organized in the college campus under the auspices of DCE’s Entrepreneurship Development Cell. Hon’ble Principal Dr. B. M. K. Prasad and Dean AcademicsProf. Onkar Singh delivered highly motivating, meaningful and memorable inaugural speeches emphasing the significance of Entrepreneurship especially for budding Engineers. Past history offers highly illuminating evidence of entrepreneurs who not only generated self employment but by dint of dedicated, devoted and innovative endeavors had the gut and grit to become business icons offering employment opportunity to many aspirants Dauntless dynamism, unflinching determination and defiant attitude have catapulted many entrepreneurs to enviable heights. It has been aptly stated.
Great things are done when men and mountains meet.
These are not done by jostling in the street.
Innovation, insight and inspiration were the key-notes of Prof. Onkar Singh’s rhetorical lecture. Several persons endowed with specialized knowledge in entrepreneurship related activities were invited to deliver guest lectures. High profile speakers including bankers and top officials of the government/private agencies were invited. The seminar also included lectures from successful entrepreneurs, who despite all odds emerged as winners in their respective fields, apart from plethora of creative activities and games designed specifically to arouse the entrepreneurial skills in our students.
The effort was intended to motivate our students to create jobs for themselves as well as for others in the present arena of recession, which in turn is going to benefit the society at large. Through series of such lectures and activities we are determined to arm our students with the technical know how and the skills to manage their valuable time and money. The college feels proud in announcing the names of the invitees, who despite their busy schedule, consented to visit our campus and enlighten our students.
