Present day life style leads to many problems related to physical and mental health. Health clubs are the solutions to all these problems as it helps the individuals/professionals/students in shedding off their physical and mental strain. To handle routine stress one needs to be fit both physically and mentally. With more than half of the day being spent at the work place, people undergo lots of mental and physical wear and tear and to help them overcome this wear and tear a number of health clubs have come up. On the basis of above mentioned concept DCE is also going to start a Health Club. Students can play an effective role in encouraging and educating their peers to consider and develop responsible habits, attitudes and lifestyles regarding health and wellness issues. The mission of this club is to actively promote campus and community-wide leadership on healthy and safe lifestyle decisions concerning alcohol abuse, tobacco use, illegal drug use, unhealthy sexual practices and other high-risk behaviours among students & personnel. Fitness is a health service that helps students and individuals to attain one of the greatest gifts of all that is the gift of good health. Personal gains, such as improved self-esteem and self-motivation, combined with measurable benefits will create tremendous advantages for both the student and the faculty. |
