Eco-clubs gives us important platform to create awareness about environment and sustainable development issues. Eco-club at Dronacharya College of Engineering has already installed Rain H2O Harvesting System in our College campus with an aim of recharging ground H2O. Every year, in co-ordination with NSS, tree plantation is being done by this club members. Lectures are organized from time-to-time on the occasion of Earth Day, World Environment Day, World Ozone Day etc. This club also organizes visits to various National Parks and sanctuaries time-to-time. In Dron-Tech 2009, poster presentation on “Environment Crisis” was organized here many students participated and etched various environment issues on paper. Quiz competition and extempore which encourage students to update their knowledge also held. In its campus beautification scheme, we look in to the installation of large bins in the campus and also train the students in using compost or organic manure in garden along with sprinkle irrigation methods to conserve the water. |
We will hold Guest Lectures by inviting Environmentalists/NGOs to aware the students about the importance of the nature. We will organize street plays in rural areas on sensitive environmental issues such as Deforestation, excessive use of poly ethene, Canal pollution and use of Gobar gas as a fuel. We will give a specific day and date to all the students for tree plantation at the end of each session. |
